The regional governments of Cataluña, Valencia and the Balearic Islands have urged the Spanish Government to reduce the speed of ships passing through the recently declared SPAMI “Cetacean Migration Corridor”
This supports measures suggested in the @oceancare.international report “Quiet Waters for whales and dolphins” which was co-authored by Alnitak.
Reducing speed could reduce ship strikes, underwater noise and carbon dioxide.
