We are therefore sharing these photographs of two fin whales we encountered last year.
As we don’t have our own project dedicated to this species, we of course sent our sightings data and photographs to our colleagues at @edmaktub who coordinate the “Proyecto Rorcual” off the catalan coast, studying a little-known feeding ground.
Although this study site is further north from where we saw these whales, they were migrating towards the Atlantic and could have come from the feeding grounds.
Wildlife knows no borders, which is why collaboration is so important.
