Captain of the Toftevaag in 2016, 2017 and 2024, Juan is our purest sailor. A solo sailor, he rose to worldwide fame during the COVID-19 pandemic when he crossed from Cadiz to Buenos Aires alone aboard the small but seaworthy sailboat “Skua” to give his parents a hug when it seemed like the world was falling apart.
