“Gori” is an artisan fisherman and skipper of the Passador “llaüt” (traditional boat of the Balearic Islands) based in Sóller in the north of Mallorca. He has actively collaborated with Alnitak since 2020, trialling prototypes of our “OASIS” buoys, with the vision of improving the ancestral Mediterranean aFAD (anchored fish aggregating device) fishery targeting mahi mahi – locally known as “llampuga”. His fresh perspectives and experiences working at Sea add value to our ongoing conservation projects and volunteer research expeditions.
